Being able to contact you in the case of an emergency or crisis will help ensure that you receive the appropriate assistance and care you may need. Here is how you can help:
Keep in touch with your Program Coordinator
Before you leave, and during your program, ensure you keep in touch with your Program Coordinator. They are here to help with any issues, questions or concerns you may have. As soon as you have your flight, visa, insurance information, notify your Program Coordinator.
Join the Facebook Group for your program
Your Program Coordinator will let you know when you're able to access your program Facebook group. This group can be used to get to know the other people partaking in your program, but also can be used to share any emergencies you may have, and help others in emergencies.
Complete the contact form
Your Program Coordinator will send you our contact form which you should complete in a timely manner. Doing so will ensure your Program Coordinator has contact details for family members in the case of an emergency. This will also ensure they are aware of any health issues you have.
Check travel advice & updates
It's important that you do research to understand any safety issues in the country you'll be doing the program. Check your local government's advice on what to pay attention to when travelling to the country. Always have access to your email or phone so that Devvi can contact you in the case of an emergency.
Keep in touch with your family
During your program, it's important that you keep in touch with your family and friends back home. Let your family know when you arrive in the country and give them regular updates on your status.
